Tomato Dill Soup
Ingredients:
3/4 c Onion, diced
3/4 t Dill, dried
1 t Basil, dried
1 t Parsley, dried
1 t Garlic Powder
3, 14.5 oz cans of petite diced Tomatoes
1 1/2 t Salt
1/2 c Unsalted Butter
1 pint Half + Half
3 c Chicken stock
1 c Heavy Cream
1/4 c Flour
1/2 t Ground Pepper
1/4 c Honey
3 t Sugar
2, 10.75 oz cans Tomato Soup
Garnish with chopped fresh dill or parsley.
Directions:
Sauté onion in butter 2-3 minutes until onions are translucent.
Stir in dill, basil, parsley, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Add flour and cook for 1 minute.
Add tomatoes and chicken stock to flour mixture, stirring often.
Boil for 15 minutes.
Add honey, sugar, cream, half + half, stirring consistently. Lastly, add tomato soup.
Simmer 2-3 minutes; do not boil.
