Since 2009, Nomadés has always been about the mission of “giving back.” We have supported both large and small non-profit organizations. We wanted to share a few of those with you.

The organization, led currently by Berlinda Castillo, are committed to fostering a culture of servant leadership. They provide 3-day seminars 2 times a year (Spring and Fall) aboard MCB Camp Lejeune, NC. It’s open to all military branches and spouses. This is one of the best seminars providing leadership training for military spouses in our opinion and we are proud to be community donors for their organization.

MilSpouseFest
Nomadés has been a sponsor and cheerleader for this organization almost from Day 1. MilSpouseFest, founded as MilitaryOneClick in 2012, was developed when there was a great need for an all-encompassing online resource for military spouses. Since its beginning, MilSpouseFest has evolved into a content site with in-person events and an online community meeting the needs of military spouses in a digital world.
MilSpouseFest, along with its presenting sponsor, USAA, is entering its 9th year of offering in-person interactive events across the country. This organization consists of military spouses and veterans pouring into and mentoring other veterans and military spouses.
Our contribution is small, but charming, as we provide “give-away” charm bracelets for every event. We are so proud of the whole MilSpouseFest Team.

Blue Star Families
We cannot begin to tell you ALL the things Blue Star Families has done for military families and even if you have never heard of them, they have likely advocated for you in some way.
Their mission is to empower military and veteran families to thrive by connecting them with their civilian neighbors — both people and organizations — to create strong communities of mutual support.
They are actively involved in Job and Career training for military families and veterans, providing Family Care and Support and Community Building, bridging the gap between civilians and military families.
We love being a part of their Military Spouse Appreciation Campaign in May every year and would gladly support them any time they choose to call on us. We couldn’t be prouder of our fellow Marine Corps Spouse Kathy Roth-Douquet and her leadership in this organization, and we especially love Penny Bolden and her dedication to Brand Partnerships. She is simply amazing.
We would love for you to get to know Blue Star Families better- check out their website and all the things they do for military families. Please follow them on Social Media at BlueStarFamilies

The Red Bead Story
What is RED? (Remember Everyone Deployed) On Friday’s we ask everyone to wear the color red to let our servicemen and servicewomen know that we have not forgotten them, and that we appreciate their sacrifice and the sacrifice of those that support them.
What is the RED Bead? It is our way of remembering all those forward deployed and those that stay behind to support them. Proceeds from this bead charm will be donated to our RED Bead Story Give Back Campaign for 2024.
What is the Red Bead Story? The RBS is a fund by Nomadés to give back to the families of those deployed. Deployments take their toll emotionally, physically and often time fiscally on our military and their families. When asked what the biggest stresses of deployment were, military members responded to the concern and worries about those at home who have taken on the burden of all the duties that the deployed have left behind. We have created the Red Bead Story to lend a helping hand. Whether it is getting the grass mowed for a pregnant spouse, helping with a much-needed break from little ones during a long deployment, or helping a mom with travel to the reunion for her child that deployed with the military, we want to give back to those that help tell this story.
Fun ways we have done this in the past? We were able to purchase a wedding dress for a vow renewal at Disney World post deployment. We purchased brand new tires for a young military spouse whose husband was deployed, and she wanted to travel to see family during the summer with her kids. We helped with a flight to meet a sailor’s ship for a surprise coming home. We have used our resources to help with a Thanksgiving Meal for families and servicemembers of the United States Coast Guard in a semi-remote location. Some of our gifts were big and some small, but all were appreciated, and it was a blessing to be able to give back to a community that has supported us over the years.
How can you help? That is simple. Buy and wear our Red Bead in support of deployed troops and their loved ones. Proceeds from these beads go toward our fund and we give it back to the deployed community. You can also buy and donate a bead to someone who has a loved one deployed. During our Giveaway in the Fall, we would love for you to nominate yourself or someone you know who could benefit from this giveaway.
